AFRIGI was one of the four implementing partners of the project,
"Strengthening Training and Education Partnerships in Sexual and Gender Based Violence for the Justice, Law and Order Sector" (STEPS for JLOS), a tailor made training project (2021-2022) funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) (managed by NUFFIC). The project strengthened education and training capacity for S&GBV prevention and response in Northern Uganda.
AFRIGI staff contributed to components of the project, "Building Capacity of Education Institutions in Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for Youth Inclusion in Benin (2020-2023). The project was funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through Nuffic and led by the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam (ISS-EUR). AFRIGI staff contributed to curriculum development and activities of the platform for dialogue and policy engagement.
AFRIGI staff contributed to the implementation of components of the 3.7 million euro project, "Strengthening Education and Training Capacity in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights" (SET-SRHR) in Uganda (2016-2023), which aimed to increasing access to and improving quality of SRHR services. The project was funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through Nuffic and led by the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam (ISS-EUR). AFRIGI staff contributed to curriculum development and community of practice activities at the national level.

AFRIGI was one of the implementing partners of the project, "Youth Leadership and (Peer) Education in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (TMT+ Mozambique), a one-year tailor made training project (2020-2021) funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) (managed by NUFFIC). The project puts youth peer educators at the center of addressing SRHR knowledge and competency gaps in Mozambique.​
Varieties of Mode of Governance and Inclusive Development in Africa
AFRIGI was one of the implementing partners of the project, "Varieties of Mode of Governance and Inclusive Development in Africa". The three-year research project sought to analyse varieties of mode of governance in Africa with respect to politics, productive sector policies, and social services. This study used secondary data across Africa and case studies materials from selected countries (Ghana, Mozambique, and Kenya, Nigeria). The outputs of this study were a book and one journal article. The total budget was US$90,000.
Social Protection Programmes in Africa
Researchers and associates of AFRIGI undertook policy-relevant studies on social protection in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda. Through this, AFRIGI engaged more than 200 senior policy makers and practitioners in discussions on evidence-based social protection policymaking and programme design.
